It must not be hot out, Kmele made it to the pod

Beat me to it—I was gonna say that it looks like Kmele’s AC finally got installed.

I might show up to the second Sunday just so he feels the heat again.

I will not countenance an endorsement of Young Sheldon, gentlemen.

I have been boycotting ever since my mother endorsed it saying, "it reminds me of the trials of raising you"

Matt’s liking of Young Sheldon explains his Field of Dreams opinion.

Also, I think you guys are missing your in on how to get Trump on the podcast. Matt and Donald need to bond over both watching Braveheart for the first time 25 years after it came out.

I like FofD, very underrated movie. Never seen YS, but I also thought TBBT was a really good show.

I think I saw Braveheart about 15 years after it came about and I wouldn't have minded waiting another 25. Terrible movie.

curious about the person they know that was slagging on moynihan. my bet would be thad, as he's been going DEEP into the anti zionism (is openly pro-hezbollah).

Yep, curious minds need to know…

Was is it about some of the A-C/Austrian types who just feel they have to adopt these ultra fringe positions to establish their "I'm not part of the mainstream" cred ?

As the son of a delivery man, I spent a lot of my formative years on the road listening to Howard Stern (and Rush Limbaugh and Jim Rome and Don Imus; weird kids make weird adults, as should be self-evident). His descent from iconoclast to whatever you'd call him now has been stunning to behold.

I babysat three times in my life. For one family. I was 14 and would let the kids stay up to watch Howard Stern’s tv show with me. That gig ended quick.

The ‘90s version of “Family Ties” was “Clarissa Explains it All,” with William F. Buckley-worshipping little brother Ferguson.

Dear Moyn, it sounds like you may have something tick-borne (Lyme? Erlichiosis?) or something mosquito-borne possibly like West Nile (there has been a recent outbreak)? The symptoms of feeling terrible for an extended period of time, the muscle aches , prolonged fatigue… I would not be surprised. Please take care and keep us posted and if I am right I will send you my bill. 😊

Billions of them.

My brother has similar symptoms and has determined that it's pernicious anemia and vitamin B deficiency.

Really starting to wonder if Moynihan is just making up all of these “dinners” he’s going to.

Just askin’ questions.

No Michael, you don’t have MS. I would know.

Anyway thanks for the great timing. I need something to get my mind off the “joys” of the NYC subway ride.

CNN is defending CBS editing Kamala’s answers to help her campaign by bringing up a time when fox and friends did the same for trump. that’s baffling to me. they’re either admitting that CBS is in the tank for kamala or they think CBS and fox news are on the same level.

I second MM's opinion that Graydon Carter's Airmail is great (like the Vanity Fair of yore), and for anyone interested in even more on Katrina I think "Five Days at Memorial: Life and Death in a Storm-Ravaged Hospital" by Pulitzer Prize-winning physician & author Sheri Fink is well worth your time

Of course I love you guys and discretion being the better part of valor I also understand how that makes Moynihan in particular a regular Sir Freaking Galahad lately but sometimes when listening to his otherwise interesting anecdotes I feel like *redacted* listening to *redacted* talking about *redacted* with *redacted*. Planning to start filing FISA warrants to hopefully get the rest of the story. (Kidding aside I actually appreciate the instinct to protect your friends & acquaintances I'm sure that's why y'all have so many)

Fingers crossed re: the pilot for a new procedural it sounds like Matt will be pitching to CBS: Special Race Unit. And speaking of TV shows I can't be the only one who listens to that Kamala on Colbert clip and thinks of Queen Latifah's incredible star turn as Congresswoman Regina Bookman on 30Rock (the troops! and the flag troops!)

Over the last few months I've found myself freezing on names and forgetting trains of thought more than usual. The info just won't come to my brain. Maybe I have MS too.
