Taylor's not wrong. "Hot chicks in cowboy boots" is the answer to almost any question when you are that high.

RIP Zach, your family will be in our prayers. Glad he got to enjoy Paul Skenes and Oneil Cruz and the most beautiful ballpark in baseball before he passed. 💕

Finally, someone understands the transcending uniting nature of Beyonce! I passed by an outdoor, gravel and food truck type of place a few days ago in Georgetown, DC. It was playing rap music and full of black people ALL wearing cowboy hats and boots and I was like hell yeah USA 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲 🤠

I'm so sorry for your loss. RIP, Zach. What an awful loss. I've donated a bit to his family.

Graceful transition.... the Ask a Jew x Dreyfuss episode is great. Listen for tips on picking up hotel whores and a hilarious story that involves a hick asking Richard Dreyfuss "You a Jew?"

Very sorry for your family’s loss. What a heroic journey he and his family had to fight the disease and all its complications., but 23 is far too short a time. Praying for comfort.

My Nephew is basically what I have for a little brother thanks to me being a “happy surprise” to my family. If I lost him I honestly don’t know how much would be left of me. My heart goes out to you and his family, it’s truly some bullshit when we lose one so young. Seems like the Fif is picking up some of the slack on the Gofundme now being at 12k three hours in, but I hope we can do better. No one should have a loss like this and still have the boot of financial troubles on their neck.

Being a basketball casual when I think of Steph Curry and people’s reaction to him I feel I need to use people from other sports for comparison. The first that springs to mind Miguel Cabrera. I like to call it the “banality of excellence” effect. I had been out of baseball for years when Cabrera hit the triple crown in 2012, and it totally blew my mind. I found it shocking how many people were underwhelmed by it. They would talk about it flippantly, like they had heard the saying “triple crown” for the first time and were unsure what it meant. He was only the 17th person ever to do it and the last one happened 55 years prior, so I suppose one could understand. But as I poured over the stats of this guy, him pulling a triple crown almost seemed inevitable. The next season he had was arguably even better than that.

The other reason I am reminded of him when it comes to Steph is his demeanor. He really is a dude that LOVES his sport, and loves to play. He is affable, and universally loved by his home team. He played 20+ seasons, most of which with one team in Detroit being the main bright spot in a city that can always use one. To add another analogy to this analogy he is that post in the basement that you aren’t sure if it is load bearing or not, so you just dress it up or build around it rather than risk the whole thing coming down. Steph like Cabrera is just too reliable. As a performer, as a person, and as a statistical anomaly. Fans will certainly get their heads out of their ass as time goes on. I wager he will be a 20+ year guy as well. The last 5 years or so he will slow down and not be “STEPH CURRY”, and that will actually be what brings people around. It will be easier to see the man without the constant top of the chart stats, and it will be easier to process those old stats when he slows down a bit and you see he is in fact human.

Speaking of nepo babys, much like Ben in the bit above, one wants to cheer against a guy who got where he did, in part because of the circumstances of his birth. But if they are a genuine good guy, and do the absolute best with what favor they have been given, you have to work pretty hard to find a reason NOT to cheer them on.

Thanks for being the Steph Curry of link distribution! I now have my playlist for the weekend of workin.
