Thought that skit was pretty funny. Monologue on the other hand...oh dear. I'm genuinely perplexed by people finding this guy funny. Not for any "woke/anti-woke" nonsense reasons. I know comedy is like music when it comes to individual taste, but I couldn't even make it through half of his Netflix special.
Where the hell is Schulz's hosting invitation?! That guy is next level.
Totally personal taste. I turned off the special after 10-15mins. It just wasn't funny to me. The monologue wasn't funny either but I did laugh once at "the service at the coffee shop is what you'd expect."
I thought Trump and church skits were good. The rest didn't work for me.
Shultz can't do the material freely. They'd want to clip his wings too much and he's way past SNL level at this point.
So bummed I missed you at CL’s house last night. We are flying in tomorrow morning to take the kids to Disneyland and will be finishing the week with the Sufrin family celebrating Shabbos. Love ya, Matt. Really bummed Sloan and Coco did get a chance to hang out.
Watching the Moynihan podcast on Tucker and seeing some of the clips for the first time. I think the Tucker grocery store bit actually hurts him with middle America. LOTS of middle America have at least a passing knowledge of Aldi supermarkets. That's basically where he is shopping in St. Petersburg. Just makes him look like an elitist and out of touch.
I was wondering if he worked in the bit about the grocery store as a sort of head nod to fan's of 2011 cinematic masterpiece, the Interview, starring James Franco as a laughably absurd celebrity journalist who visits North Korea to interview Kim Jong Un and gets tricked into showing images of fake grocery stores filled with with plastic fruit.
Fact 1: I saw Patriots in London, twice. Fact 2: It is excellent. Fact 3: The first time, the show had to be cancelled just before the interval as it was raining so hard outside that it broke through the roof of the theatre foyer, causing the whole place to turn into a giant water feature.
Rolling Stone provided a viewing guide for Shane Gillis for luddites like me that don't have real tv. Apparently there are two totally free options with a trial.
I'm excited enough to deal with the free trial wrangle or to stay up until 11:30 EST, but not both. 😞 Will have to watch it post hoc.
Shane Gillis splurged on the Trump high tops and now he's winning at life. Kmele only wishes.
White Men Can Trump.

Murder motel AND SpongeBob? Matt's definitely the fun parent.
Thanks for the link to Mike Freedman's interview of Sergei Loznitsa!

Next time!
After Raising Arizona, A Serious Man is the Coen Bros movie I’ve watched the most times. I hope Matt has told his friend how good he is in it.
“I don’t want Santana Abraxas!”
Have ya’ll hated yourself enough yet to watch the Taylor Lorenz v. Chaya Raichik interview yet? It’s, uh, something.
It’s perfectly horrible. Just perfectly horrible.
I watched enough to realize the two are sisters with completely opposite problems, and it all made sense.

The funny detail about the Tucker grocery store video is that it is actually a French supermarket Auchan.
agree -- and thanks for watching the show!

such a guilty pleasure movie, so absurd/good
Since you've seen the movie, tell me what you think. Was Putin honeydicking Tucker in that interview or was it the other way around?

Rolling Stone providing something useful? What is happening?!
‘Tis the end times.
Alt: Vice layoffs mark 2 have put the fear of G-d in them.
Either works for me, though I lean toward End Times.
Woah!!! Super excited to listen to Mike's interview with Loznitsa!! Very cool!
Trump shoes joke….called it.
It’s good to see that Kmele was in full immersion his Vision Pro while chatting with the lads
meant to be drinking with him in Austin tomorrow night
Nice humble brag 😂. Hope I can do the same next time he comes to Chicago, been NFC since day 1.
